THIS WAS MY FIRST AMP INSTALL AND DIDN'T WANT TO GO OVERBOARD PRICE WISE. IT'S INSTALLED IN A 2002 JEEP TJ WRANGLER, SO, IT'S ADEQUATE FOR MY NEEDS. IT'S A FAIRLY SIMPLE AMP FOR BEGINNERS WITHOUT ALL THE BELLS AND WHISLES OF MORE EXPENSIVE AMPS. I REALLY NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY SUB OUTPUT!! NO RATING ON REMOTE BECAUSE THERE IS NO REMOTE!!!
If I where you , I would not waist my money on this , I got this product and immediately tried it on , I was so excited but when I connected it to my truck , it started to make this WEIRD NOISE , and just to let you know , I bought two of these and both of them came Like that , my dad even checked over them because he knows a lot more then I do and he said that it was really bad and it DIDNT WORK !!!!! Total waist of money
Yes it was cheap. My math and meters tell me I was getting about 37 watts clean with 3 ohm 6.5's and 6X9's. Don't bother bridging the channels, run it as a 4 channel. Sound was alright for what it was. Set the gains right, leave it on full range, let the deck do the equalization and crossover settings, and voila; a cheap amp on cheap speaker with a cheap head unit and proper wiring will deliver tolerable, but better than stock sound. I've installed 15 or 20 of these Boss amps of varying wattage, ohm loads, and current pulls and honestly every amp has that spot where you say " that's all it's got clean". Buy it, treat it like you would one costing 10 times the amount, and it'll serve you for years. The reason I say it's a learners amp is because it's a cheap way to learn basic car audio 4/3/2 setups. These amps are $20-$40 all day, and do put out acceptable sound.
