Product Description
AIR LIFT 1000 Series Air Suspension Kits are designed to work with specific coil-spring vehicles. This kit eliminates sag and features 1000 pounds of leveling capacity. It installs inside coil spring to eliminate bottoming out and is highly durable. Air Lift's 1000 Series Air Spring kit is the easy, inexpensive solution to vehicle "bottom out" events, sway and body roll and rough rides that are often the result of inadequate or uneven rear suspension. Consisting of two durable, easy to install and use pressurized cylinders, this kit provides up to 1,000 pounds of load leveling power, ensuing a safe, smooth and level ride when you need it. Inflate via easy access air line. Inflation can be done with any air compression tool capable of delivering the pressure, ranging from a dedicated onboard air compression system to portable air compression tools built into jump-start tools or even a hand pump. The cylinders are constructed of rugged, durable materials and feature high burst strength. Have peace of mind with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Air Lift Company warrants its Air Lift 1000 products to the original retail purchaser against manufacturing defects when used on catalog-listed applications on cars, vans, light trucks and motor homes under normal operating conditions for as long as Air Lift manufactures the product. The warranty does not apply to products that have been improperly applied, improperly installed, used in racing or off-road applications, used for commercial purposes, or which have not been maintained in accordance with installation instructions furnished with all products.

Air Lift's 1000 Series Rear Air Spring kit is the easy, inexpensive solution to vehicle "bottom out" events, sway and body roll and rough rides that are often the result of inadequate or uneven rear suspension. Consisting of two durable, easy to install and use pressurized cylinders, this kit provides up to 1,000 pounds of load leveling power on each rear wheel, ensuing a safe, smooth and level ride when you need it.
1,000 Pounds of Load Leveling Power
Simple in-coil installation.
Inflate via easy access air line.
Air Lift 1000 Series Air Springs are pressurized air cylinders designed to provide up to 1,000 pounds of additional leveling capacity to heavily loaded vehicles. Designed to work in tandem, the two air springs included in Air Lift's 000 Series Rear Air Spring kit share the duty of supporting your vehicle's rear suspension. Installed within your vehicle's standard coil springs when deflated and malleable, these cylinders can be inflated to up to 50-psi (minimum of 5-psi to avoid chafing and coil pinch) via a series of included air line tubing located by the user at the most convenient spot along the vehicle chassis. Air lines may also be arranged in a dual routing configuration, allowing the the two air springs to be inflated to different pressures if necessary, at different spots selected along the car's chassis. Inflation can be done with any air compression tool capable of delivering the pressure, ranging from a dedicated onboard air compression system, to portable air compression tools built into jump-start tools or even a hand pump. The cylinders are constructed of rugged, durable materials and feature high burst strength.
Whether you are experiencing "bottoming out" during which your vehicle nearly scrapes the road and headlight aim is askew, vehicle swaying and rolling due to uneven suspension or a rough ride, the simple answer to the problem could be rear-end suspension adjustment. You can achieve this easily and inexpensively with Air Lift's 1000 Series Rear Air Spring kit.
Features
- Fully adjustable rear air springs level your vehicle when towing or hauling a heavy load for a safe comfortable ride
- Easily installs inside your vehicle's standard rear coil springs to eliminate sag and bottoming out
- Rugged durable materials used ensure that air springs and all hardware will last indefinitely under proper conditions
- Inflatable up to absolute max of 50-psi, with a minimum of 5-psi and provides up to 1,000 pounds of leveling capacity
- Both air springs can be inflated to the same pressure via a single air line, or can be inflated to differing pressure when needed via a dual air line configuration

Original Review June 7, 2015 - I have these on my 2004 Nissan Murano SE. Unlike the other Nissan reviewer, I did not have the creaking/squeaking noise at all. In fact, there is no noise whatsoever. Super quiet and cranks up the rear of the car well, keeping it all very level. Initial inflation was set to 35 lbs and it dropped to 31 lbs 24 hours later. The instructions say that a 2-4 psi loss of pressure over 24 hours for initial inflation was normal. I'm only a bit over 24 hours from install and inflation so we'll see in the next couple of days.
Install was super easy and when I supported the rear of the car on jack stands at the frame, the suspension dropped more than enough to allow the compressed bags to squeeze in between the springs. In fact, I was able to insert them all by hand without tools. Total install time with line routing and connections was about an hour- and only because I took my time (measure twice, cut once!) and routed the air hoses carefully. I mounted the fill valve on the lower portion of the rear bumper. Others on the Nissanmurano.org website have drilled a location right below the fuel filler cap behind the fuel filler door. I didn't want to drill into metal and used the rear bumper instead. Just a matter of personal preference. I also like that on the bumper, the valve is lower for filling without having something hang off the car.
Can't wait to try it with a full load in the rear. I have the rear cargo carrier box and noticed when fully loaded, the rear of the car sagged. Similarly, I saw some appreciable sag when towing the family deck boat (3,000 pounds plus package weight). Didn't bottom out in either case with the stock rear suspension, but I wanted to have better leveling and handling. Time will tell but so far so good. The only criticism I have is that the Amazon website says up to 50 psi max pressure. The instructions say 35 psi. That leaves me wondering the true max pressure. For now, I'll stick with the 35 psi max.

The downside on this product is that it makes the ride under more typical loads a little harsher than normal or preferred.
Ended up using two coil spring boosters per spring for $11 set purchased at local auto parts store. Does everything I need to help from bottoming the rear when loaded with family and luggage. Quick and easy slide in install and no creaking noises.

I can now jump up and down on the motorcycle carrier and it doesn't bounce and bottom out like it did before. I weigh only a little less than the KTM EXC-F (248lbs) I intend to carry. So me jumping on it without any major movement in the springs is a good test for my use case.
